# INFEDU Microsoft Word templates — 2026-10-07 r5

Use `infedu_template_2026.docx` as the anonymised manuscript starting point.
`infedu_demo_2026.docx` is an extended instructional production-layout example.
Complete `INFEDU_Title_Page_Template.docx` separately; it is for the Editorial Office,
not reviewers. Export the manuscript and Title Page as separate PDFs for initial review.

## Title, abstract, keywords and contribution

Use an informative title naming the educational subject and specific focus.
About 12–20 title words is guidance, not a minimum or an eligibility limit.

Write four short abstract paragraphs with bold lead-ins: **Problem and aim;
Approach; Findings; Conclusions.** Main argument may replace Findings for conceptual
or theoretical papers; Synthesis may replace it for reviews. Retain the other labels.
The abstract is **150–250 words excluding its heading and four labels**.

Supply **4–6 keyword terms or phrases**, preferably separated by semicolons.

After the keywords, use **3–5 full-sentence contribution bullets, maximum 150 words
including labels** (exclude the section heading and bullet markers). Introduce
**Knowledge contribution; Educational and community value; Implications for CS
education**, in that order, each at least once. An extra substantive bullet may
repeat an appropriate label. Conditions and limits is optional as a separate final
bullet. There is no compulsory fourth bullet or 100-word minimum.

The abstract must independently communicate the core contribution, educational
significance and principal warranted implication. The bullets clarify significance
and use. Keep necessary qualifications with the claim they qualify; do not invent
benefits or evidence to fill labels. Interpretive and conceptual implications are
legitimate when warranted. The main article need not use the abstract headings.

The worked example reports no classroom study, citation improvement or demonstrated
educational benefit. Replace it and delete every preparation note before submission.

## Styles and word count

Keep the supplied styles, real bullet lists and automatic heading numbering. Bold
only the contribution lead-in labels, not the entire bullets. The Introduction
remains section 1. Use the abstract paragraph style rather than numbered heading
styles for its four parts. Do not squeeze long front matter onto one page by shrinking
font sizes; check the exported PDF after editing.

No formal article-word limit applies at initial submission. The 6,000–8,000-word
target and general 10,000-word guidance concern the **final publication version**.
The complete article counting convention remains in each template and on the
journal's author-instructions page.

## Anonymity and release checks

Review the exported PDF and file properties for identifying information. The short
template omits author identities; the extended demonstration does not. Declarations
and substantive anonymised methodological information must follow current journal
instructions. The reader-facing contribution section is not the Author contributions
declaration.

All three Word files were rendered with LibreOffice and inspected. Native Microsoft
Word was not available for this release check; locally substituted fonts may affect
pagination. No font files are included. See the supplied release report for checks.
