## 2026-10-07 r5 — structured and labelled front matter

- Informative example title and consistent running/PDF titles.
- Four-part abstract: Problem and aim; Approach; Findings; Conclusions.
Main argument and Synthesis are controlled alternatives to Findings.
- Abstract count excludes labels; contribution count includes bold labels.
- Three required contribution labels and an optional Conditions and limits bullet.
- Revised keywords, preparation guidance, README and download index.
- Keep the compact contribution block together and left-aligned for scanning.
- Original class, companion styles, references and bibliography setup retained.
- Complete sources and regenerated previews must be installed with the stable-name ZIP.

Older entries below describe superseded releases; follow README.md for current requirements.

# Changes in 2026-10-06 r4 — approved knowledge/value/implications scheme

- Explicitly distinguished knowledge contribution, educational and community value,
and implications for CS education as the three connected content expectations.
- Kept conditions and limits optional as a separate bullet; essential qualifications
remain part of accurate claims. No mandatory fourth bullet or fixed labels.
- Kept the heading, placement, 3–5 bullets, 150-word ceiling, abstract requirements,
initial-submission/final-publication length distinction and review workflow unchanged.
- Updated the removable instructions and the shared instructional demonstration.

Baseline: the r2 source files supplied in `old_latex.zip`. No earlier private
server version is presumed. The class, companion style, bibliography support,
references, wrappers and build helpers are preserved byte-for-byte.

Validation completed on 2026-10-06: the three entry files were each built
from a separate clean directory using the supplied shell helper (early: 7 pages, review: 6 pages, final: 7 pages).
Final logs contain no fatal errors, undefined citations/references, missing-character
messages or overfull boxes. Non-fatal underfull spacing notices remain. Every page
of the Early View and anonymous-review outputs was visually inspected; the
final-preview alias was verified pixel-equivalent to the identified main PDF.
PDF-author anonymity, corresponding-author notes, placeholder ORCIDs and email
link targets were checked. The 179-word abstract was preserved; the new three-bullet
instructional example has 69 words. The Windows PowerShell helper was preserved
but not executed. No live server or CMS changes were performed.

# Changes in 2026-10-04 r2

- Restored editable Early View publication fields in the main .tex file: year, stage, volume 0, issue 0, first page 1, document-specific last page and DOI.
- Added the exact publisher line “Published by Vilnius University and Tallinn University”.
- Added shared corresponding-author marks and a plural note, demonstrated by two corresponding authors.
- Rendered bracketed ORCIDs after author/affiliation marks. All-zero examples are unlinked placeholders; real values link to their ORCID record.
- Fixed the class email renderer so each displayed address matches its mailto target.
- Changed main-*.tex to an identified Early View example. Added review.tex for anonymous initial submission, with anonymous PDF author metadata.
- Retained final-preview.tex as an identified-preview alias and updated build scripts/README.
- Kept the new abstract/contribution requirements and the final-publication-only length guidance unchanged.
- Kept infedu.cls byte-for-byte unchanged. Isolated front-matter fixes in infedu-authoring.sty.
- Retained the previous bibliography fixes; the BibTeX compatibility limitations still apply.

No live server or journal web page is changed by this archive.
